The Eight Beauties of Qinhuai (Chinese: 秦淮八艳; pinyin: Qínhuái Bāyàn), also called the Eight Beauties of Jinling (Chinese: 金陵八艳), were eight famous courtesans during the Ming-Qing transition period who resided along the Qinhuai River in Nankin (now Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China). As well as possessing great beauty, they were all skilled in literature, poetry, fine arts, dancing and music.[1]

In early April, Fort Collins police arrested 10 men in a prostitution sting. Then, officers posed as escorts in online advertisements on sites like Backpage and Craigslist. Officer Annie Hill said then that it would be virtually impossible to discern from an actual posting selling sex.
The roundup was all part of what Dart calls the "National Day of Johns Arrests." Twenty law enforcement agencies in eight states ran sting operations in hotels and brothels, on the streets and on the Internet over a 10-day period that concluded Monday night, Dart's office said.
Eight Mexican players allegedly "partied" with approximately "30 escorts" after the team's 1-0 victory over Scotland in an international friendly on Sunday, according to Mexican gossip magazine TV Notas.
While the report is gossip at this point, it wouldn't be the first time scandal has struck the Mexico team, as former team manager Miguel Herrera fought a commentator in 2015, four years after eight Mexico players were apparently sent home over an alleged sex scandal involving "girls who worked in the sex industry," as reported by ESPN in 2011.
On Thursday DPS' Criminal Investigations Division (CID) conducted an adult prostitution operation and online solicitation operation. All eight men are charged with solicitation of prostitution, a state felony.
One hundred and thirty people working as prostitutes in San Francisco were interviewed regarding the extent of violence in their lives and symptoms of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Fifty-seven percent reported that they had been sexually assaulted as children and 49% reported that they had been physically assaulted as children. As adults in prostitution, 82% had been physically assaulted; 83% had been threatened with a weapon; 68% had been raped while working as prostitutes; and 84% reported current or past homelessness. We differentiated the types of lifetime violence as childhood sexual assault; childhood physical abuse; rape in prostitution; and other (non-rape) physical assault in prostitution. PTSD severity was significantly associated with the total number of types of lifetime violence (r = .21, p = .02); with childhood physical abuse (t = 2.97, p = .004); rape in adult prostitution (Student's t = 2.77, p = .01); and the total number of times raped in prostitution (Kruskal-Wallace chi square = 13.51, p = .01). Of the 130 people interviewed, 68% met DSM III-R criteria for a diagnosis of PTSD. Eighty-eight percent of these respondents stated that they wanted to leave prostitution, and described what they needed in order to escape.
Any driver operating a vehicle escorting an oversize/overweightload shall meet the training requirements and the certification program by theDepartment. This certification may provide for reciprocity with other stateshaving a similar pre-approved vehicle escort certification program.Certification credentials for the driver of an escort vehicle shall be carriedin the vehicle and be readily available for inspection by law enforcementpersonnel or an authorized employee of the Department.
A sign of the same type required for an escort vehicle underthe provisions of Rule 672-2-.06(2) shall bemounted on both the front of the vehicle and rear of the vehicle or load overeight feet six inches (8'6") wide, thirteen feet six inches (13'6") high andone hundred (100) feet in length. Such signs shall be removed when an oversizeload is no longer being transported by a vehicle that exceeds the legaldimensions. The eight men, whose names were not released, were all booked into the Santa Rita Jail in Dublin on suspicion of various crimes, according to Sgt. Reginaldo Gamez. One of the arrestees was a Pleasanton resident.
